Ukraine support across BPW

As many of you know I have had the privilege to be a part of this group of inspiring
women: Juliya Zayika and Victoria Filatova from BPW Chernihiv and Amélie LeClerc BPW
France. We have looked at how best to help within Ukraine, and the top priorities on any
wish list. Last Friday night Amelie and I received good news on a zoom call with our In-

ternational President Dr Catherine Bosshart and International Finance officer Dr Eufemia
Ippolito, the project has been awarded €25,000 from the members donations.

This will go to buy a people carrier-sized vehicle, drivable on any type of driving
licence, which will enable Jullya, Victoria and BPW local members to distribute aid, take
people to medical appointments and to civic appointments in the local community. For
example, if you have any damage to your home, you need to inform the local council to
get a permit to enable you to buy the items needed for a repair. Imagine, if we needed
to do this each time we went into B&Q ….

                  Jullya Zayika Victoria Filatova
                 BPW Chernihiv BPW Chernihiv

So, the work continues; now to source and buy a suitable vehicle, to get a local No-
tary to confirm this legally as we are buying for a third party, insure and of course, FILL
            WITH USEFUL GOODS!
This is where we come in; please can you think if you are able to donate further to
this fund to enable us to fill the vehicle with medical supplies. Imagine if you take heart
care medication, blood pressure, diabetes, or asthma tablets regularly, this is no longer
an easy prescription to fill. We have been in discussions with local clinics who will pre-
scribe this still, but from the medications we can source and put into this vehicle.
I will keep the FEC and members up to date with what is happening, but I cannot
wait to see this vehicle full and with Jullya driving it to her home town.
                                                   The donation link is
