With the war in Ukraine now into its second year, it was heartening to hear from President
Jo and partner Amelie Leclercq of the progress on the BPW Van for Ukraine project. The van
has now been purchased and delivered to Chernihiv to our BPW club members there and will
be used to help the community. The second phase of the project now begins with increased
fundraising vital to help supply items such as a generator, solar panels, solar phone
chargers, medical aid and baby milk and nappies. We had hoped to speak to Yulia in Cher-
nihiv but unfortunately the internet was not working that day. You can make a donation to

As our conference drew to a close, we were warmly invited by BPW Malta President Mariella
Camilleri to attend the 2025 European Conference to be held in May 2025 in Valetta. And
closer to home, Hilarie Tucknott invited us to BPW UK Conference 2025 to be held in the
“Kingdom of Northumbria” in April.
A very interesting and energising conference day with fabulous speakers.

I’m already looking forward to Conference 2025!
