NFBPWC Biennial Conference, July 20th
The Conference was to start at 5:00 A.M. California time, but there was a power outage at the

surgery last Tuesday. Her daughter and husband have three children.
President Megan called the 7th Biennial Assembly to order at 5:39 A.M. The hotel had a gener-
ator, but they did have problems with that going out. The electricity came on at 7:42 A.M.

The keynote speaker was Dr. Jill Kracov Zinckgraf, intern Executive Director of the National
Women’s History Alliance. She spent 20 years in domestic violence work. She showed the video
“One Find Day” which showed photos of women up until 1984 while the song played. The Na-
tional Women’s History Alliance has a theme each year. This year the theme is “Equity, Diversi-
ty and Inclusion.” In 1978 Molly Murphy MacGregor started “Women’s History Week.” President
Jimmy Carter proclaimed it “Women’s History Month.” From 1400-1775 4,000,000-6,000,000
women died during the European Witchcraft Trials. When a person was dunked, if they floated,
they were witch. Those who drown were not witches.
