Marjory served many years as Vice President and then Program/Projects
Chair for CFBPW getting wonderful speakers for the State Conferences. She
was asked many times to run for CFBPW President, but she did not feel that
she knew enough about Parliamentarian Procedure so she turned down the
requests.
She has been Young Professional Chair many times and mentored many of
the young BPW members. She was the Memorial Chair for CFBPW for many
years and always did a wonderful job remembering members who had
passed away. She also did much of the research for the “For Bloomers to
Boardroom” program which is on the bpwcal.org website under the Members’
tab and which she has helped present to area colleges and schools. Leslie
Stahl of “60 Minutes” interviewed her as she was the Star Polisher
(Hollywood Walk of Fame) for Ronald Reagan when he was President. She
was President of Tri-Valley BPW District and later of Valley Sunset BPW Dis-
trict.
Where she spent most of her BPW work was Hollywood BPW. She has been
President of Hollywood for many years and is responsible for keeping the
Club going. She established the annual Susan B. Anthony award and the Man
of Hollywood Award. She also obtained wonderful speakers for their meet-
ings. Hollywood BPW is 103 years old.
Marjory will be missed in Hollywood, around California, the United States and
the world. She was the dynamo, small lady with the wonderful smile and a
friendly, helpful attitude. She was also a cat lady.
