Berkeley BPW has provided financial assistance to
the following Organizations for several years:
Women's Daytime Drop-In Center
… empowers homeless women and their
children for a brighter future.
Established 30 years ago, the Women’s
Daytime Drop-Center, open weekdays
from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. is set up to be
a respite from the tough life in the
streets, a place where women and chil-
dren can come to get food, clothing, toiletries, books and
referrals to help them transition into housing.

Berkeley Food and Housing Program
provides a comprehensive range of housing,
food and support services to help home-
less individuals and families.
Since 1970 Berkeley Food and Housing has
helped thousands in need move from home-
lessness to a safe and affordable home of their
own. This organization has a Women’s Over-
night Shelter for Women and Children and their services
include showers, laundry facilities, breakfast, lunch and
dinner.
