ProPublica just released a sampling of Christmas greetings received by the president in the past two weeks. In a recent meandering Fox News interview with Laura Ingraham, President Trump declared, “Nobody loves the Bible more than I do.” His words obviously touched many viewers because the White House phone lines lit up. As of noon today, five million calls had been logged in the past five days. Here’s a sampler:
“Mr. President, I’m sorry to say, but you missed Isaiah 35:5-6”
No more will fools become celebrities, nor crooks be rewarded with fame. For fools are fools and that’s that, thinking up new ways to do mischief. They leave a wake of wrecked lives and lies...
“How do you feel now?”
“President Trump, I thought of you when I read Romans 1:22-23”
Professing to be wise, he became a fool, and exchanged the glory of an incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of crawling creatures.
“Have a nice holiday, Mr. President.”
“My name secret. My voice fake. Read Proverbs 31:30”
Charm is deceitful, beauty, she is vain. But woman who does not fear husband is to be praised. Praise Lord for wisdom words.
“Donald, you are welcome for Christmas present.”
