A. Narative text
1. Definition of narative text
narrative text is a type of text that tells a story or describes a
sequence of events. The purpose of a narrative text is to
entertain or inform the reader by presenting a series of events
in a coherent and engaging way.

2. Types of narative text
Narrative text does not only have one type, but more than
that. In this book we will discuss 3 types of narrative texts,
namely: fable, myth, and legend.

B. Fable
1. Definition

Fables are fictional stories that use animals as main
characters with anthropomorphic traits (like human characters)
and always end with a moral message. Fables using animals?
Because animals in fables can attract readers' interest and can
represent various human characters through their actions and
words. This makes the fable story easily accepted and
understood by readers. A fable story is called a fictional story

because it is only an imagination created by the author or writer
with characters who are considered to represent human nature.
