When sourcing equipment and consumables, the design programme at reference
SETU Carlow advocates a policy of shopping locally. In Carlow town
there are a number of suppliers of office and art material (A. Jones
Business Systems, B. Easons and C. The Range). Also research home

There are two published sources used as part of the design programmes
in Design Carlow in relation to sketching techniques. This booklet is not
instructing on the skills of sketching but on the professional practice and
expectations as an SETU Design learner. Numerous sources are provided
to learners in conjunction with studio instruction on how best to build a
sketching style. A good starting point and highly recommended for purchase
is Sketching the Basics. B

greater. Remember it will take time to arrive. There are also many online
suppliers of Design and Art equipment and consumables. Much of the
equipment and materials specified can also be sourced on retail sites
(eBay, amazon, etc.) However, used equipment may not function as
originally designed so source new where possible.
