Even before the global pandemic made working from
home temporarily routine for millions, increasing
numbers of people had been moving away from the
traditional office space. This is made possible by the
evolution of Cloud Computing and telecommuting.

If working from home was not beneficial to the
company, it would not be possible, however
incentives to move the work force out of the office
come in the form of:
• Lower organisational costs.

• Boosted employee productivity.

• Lighter carbon footprint.

Common jobs acquired by telecommuters include
Education, Software Development, Data Entry,
Customer Services and Virtual assistants.

Amazon, Dell, Stryker, Philips and Lenovo are among
the top 100 employers taking advantage of the
telecommuting society.
