• 90% of college students are going online.

• 18% of people work remotely full-time, almost 2 out of every
10 people permanently work from home.

• Over the last five years, the remote workforce has grown

44% and over the previous 10 years, 91%.

• 80% of students not getting the same experience in

college, apprenticeships , work experience as previous
students.

• A report by FlexJobs and Global Workplace Analytic shows
that most remote workers have a higher salary than those
who work from the office; the average annual income for
most remote workers is $4,000 higher than that of non-

remote workers.

• From 2008 to 2014, the number of employees who say they
can’t concentrate at their desk has increased by 16%, and

the number of employees who can’t access quiet places to
do focused work is up by 13%.

• According to the Central Bank, deposits in banks and credit
unions soared this year, by as much €4.5 billion in March
and April alone at the height of lockdown. In the first nine

months, households put €11 billion on deposit.
