Natural; Unglazed Terroccotta
Description: Original
Terroccotta is a hard, fired clay, brownish-red in colour when unglazed, that is used for
architectural ornaments and facings, structural units, pottery and as a material for sculpture.
Rationale:
I chose to replicate terrocotta because I thought it would be an interesting finish to
experiment with.
Attributes:
Terrocotta can survive extreme weather conditions because it has insulating properties. It is
used in roofing as an insulator to keep homes hot during the cold weather conditions.
