Initial research into the company and its products, as well as a company visit on site,
revealed that the family business stores a high number of off-cut remnants, as a per-
centage of the leather pieces used, without further use. The current number can be
reduced with a new product and turnover increased at the same time. In addition, the

family business can reduce their storage space and thus save costs.

Hypotheses: Pen & hero Piece

Initial research into the products and the family business revealed that it has a target
group who buy exclusive, handmade and personalised products that can create a
subconscious connection between user and product. In order to meet these requi-

rements of the target group, a collection of ballpoint pens perfectly matched to the
respective product ordered will be added to the product portfolio and supplemented
by a masterpiece. This is in a higher price range than the existing product portfolio.
