Mobile Reading Station Launch

The Uplift Our Local Community Committee and the
Under 30 Sister Squad teamed up to launch a Mobile
Reading Station! We donated over 125 books to Girls,
Inc. for their 1st-3rd grade students, along with a cozy
rug to create a special space for reading. Our chapter’s
President, Tonya Wood, and Director Stephanie
Malone joined us for the ribbon cutting.

This initiative is part of our ongoing mission to help students become strong readers and succeed in the Al-
abama reading assessment. Our goal? To set up reading corners for all grades, up to 8th! We also had the
honor of presenting our October Girls of the Month with gifts!

Together, we’re building a brighter future—one book at a time.
