The Breast Cancer Awareness Subcommittee had a
very successful Impact Day. You could not ask for
         better community collaboration. Epsilon Gamma
Omega Chapter, Huntsville Hospital Breast Center,
The Donut Hole, Belk at Bridge Street, and Wacoal
collaborated to provide breast cancer awareness to
the community. We had 36 sorors to come out to
support and numerous community participants. Our
committee demonstrated excellence in the planning
process which provided the desired outcome of this
event. The Huntsville Hospital Pink Winnebago
provided prevention and early detection information
in the south side of the parking lot store entrance.
Actual breast demonstrators were provided to get an
actual feel of what and how monthly self breast
exams should be conducted. On the first floor, sorors
and Belk customers were greeted with a smile and
aided getting signed in for fittings. On the second
floor in the Intimate Apparel Department, the pink
carpet led toward a staff ready to provide bra
fittings for the cure. Each fitting donated $2.00 and
an additional $2.00 for any purchases made that day
for up to a total of $4.00 per person to the Susan G.

Komen Foundation. All the events were covered by
Sydney Seller, a new soror at Huntsville Fox News.
She did a fabulous job and included live interviews
from Tara with Huntsville Hospital Breast Center,
Marie (Belk Staff and Lead Wacoal Bra Fitter) and
two of our very own breast cancer survivors, Natalie
Steele and Renee Knight. The story aired on the
evening news. This was truly an Impact Day for this
community. We provided life changing information
         while serving with compassion.
