Target 2 participated in the 16th Annual Liz Hurley Ribbon Run. This race, which boasts 6,500
participants, is one of the largest races in Alabama. In addition to promoting a healthy lifestyle,
Epsilon Gamma Omega’s efforts also contributed to over $320,000 raised in total to purchase
breast cancer screening equipment for Huntsville Hospital. EGO’s own Breast Cancer Survivor,
Soror Renee Knight was featured in an interview with Liz Hurley for the Annual Luz Hurley
Ribbon Run for Breast Cancer. Soror Renee was on the 6:00 PM evening WAFF newscast. Also,
Soror Renee sang the National Anthem to open the Ribbon Run on Saturday morning. Her
rendition was so moving! We are so proud of her! Later that day, Target 2 continued the Breast
Cancer Awareness events by having a Breast Cancer Survivor's stroll during the EGO monthly
chapter meeting. Chapter members wore shades of pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness
month. Survivors were presented with gifts.
