Greetings Sorors,

This issue of the Pink Pearl Press is dedicated to the many victims of the Coronavirus, members
of Alpha Kappa Alpha recovering from the dreadful storms that destroyed property and damaged homes,
as well as those who have experienced loss of family members during this time. Let’s continue praying
for these and all situations facing our community, families and nation.
We are all aware, this year has been one we will remember for years to come. With the threat of
Coronavirus spreading rapidly, Epsilon Gamma Omega Chapter’s priority is the safety and well-being of
its members and their families. Everyone is highly encouraged to adhere to all preventive measures and
recommendations from the various agencies on the local, state and national level. Together, we will get
through this crisis and be stronger because of it.
As your Chapter Basileus, I pledge to keep you informed regarding all information coming from
the corporate and regional level as disseminated on chapter operations moving forward. I think it is
important that we continue to lift each other up, check on each other and most importantly pray without
ceasing daily.
On a lighter note, please take the time to reflect on the good things, enjoy the time with your
family and be grateful for what we have. Things could always be worse. Finally, thank you to our
awesome newsletter team led by Soror Lauren Blue for another informative and delightful issue of the
Pink Pearl Press! Enjoy!
