EGO LEADERSHIP AKADEMY

Epsilon Gamma Omega’s commitment to Excellence continued with intense, strategic training
of its members. During the 2021-2022 year, The Standards Committee conducted a plethora of
engaging, interactive, hands-on modules & training workshops.

The Leadership Modules focused on leadership competencies; technological skills, & emotional
intelligence required for effective & efficient chapter operations. The modules were designed to
re-energize sorors at ALL levels while providing detailed leadership principles that are
necessary to equip each to meet Alpha Kappa Alpha’s commitment to service.

Leadership Modules/Training Workshop included:

•Module 2: Parliamentary Procedures
•Module 3: Technology
•Module 5: Committees
•Module 7: Financial Operations & Risk Management
•Module 8: Leadership/Graduation Celebration
•Chairman Training 2022 & 2021
•Officers’ Leadership Training 2022 & 2021
(Graduate/Undergraduate)

Additionally, weekly articles were featured in the EGO Update to ensure topic mastery,
connection, interactive review with immediate feedback & friendly competition….
These posts included Standards tips, activities, & challenges designed to keep Sorors engaged &
informed & primed between sessions. Each activity presented excellent opportunities to become
more knowledgeable of our Policies, Protocol, & Procedures. Monthly Winners were presented
incentives. Each monthly winner was placed an overall drawing for the year and the Grand
Winner identified. The Leadership AKAdemy Series culminated with a Graduation Ceremony
held on June 26, 2022 at 4pm featuring Soror Tracy Morant Adams, South Eastern Regional
Conference Director-Elect. Soror Adams presented an exhilarating Charge to the Graduates
encouraging them to continue to learn about and pour into our great sisterhood.
