ELECTRONIC FILES AND DISPOSAL OF
SORORITY MATERIALS
• Electronic Files
o Always delete Alpha Kappa Alpha files from computers
in public areas. Clear files from any shared computers
such as in hotel business centers and in the workplace.
o Best practice is to save all information on a USB drive
or other electronic storage devices rather than a computer’s hard drive.
• Disposal of Sorority Materials
o Shredded or burn for permanent and proper disposal:
▪ Constitution and Bylaws, Manual of Standard Procedures, Rituals
and any other Sorority publication containing private, confidential
information
▪ International, Regional and Chapter Directories and Paraphernalia
