We are a chapter on the move as we continue to embrace our Legacy of Scholarship, Sisterhood and
Service.

One of our concentrations as a chapter, during 2017, will be sisterhood and sisterly relations; principles
within Alpha Kappa Alpha that are synonymous with Love. Following is a devotion from the Launching
New Dimensions of Faith publication developed by the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated Spiritual
Oversight Committee.

What is Love?

Love is more than a feeling or
when people agree to touch.
Love is careful, showing honesty, care and trust.
Attributes of caring that really means much!
Love is helping one another through service so true.
Love demonstrates action through mutual respect.
Love puts all our differences simply in check!
Love minimizes differences that anything

can be worked out!
As long as we communicate, you know sisters like to talk it out!

Even when we disagree, Love is what it is about!
Love makes your care for others without a doubt.

Love is serving all mankind
Making the world a better place.
Love is reaching dreams together.

Sisters face to face
Love is the connection and matter of the heart.

Love is being an AKA inside and out!
