MEMBERSHIP MAKES ME SMILE!

The Basileus Chat and Chew/Get AKAQuainted Luncheon

Epsilon Gamma Omega’s Basileus, Soror Wilma J. Ruffin and the Membership Committee, hosted a
“Basileus Chat and Chew/Get AKAQuainted” Lunch on September 24, 2016. This was the second “Basileus
Chat and Chew” this year and was another success with seven in attendance. Soror Wilma Ruffin, talked
casually with Sorors as everyone feasted on tasty barbeque chicken sliders, baked beans, chips and some one
of a kind cookie pudding. Sorors, the meal was TASTY-LICIOUS!

Sorors Tonya Wood, Chairman, LaFreeda Jordan, Co-Chairman, Candace Edwards and Anita Garner from
EGO’s Membership Committee served as hostesses for this event. Sorors Cheryl R. Davis, Veronica Belser,
Sharon Tibbs, Barbara Williams and Lorraine Lacy were in attendance. Additional insight on respective
responsibilities was provided and all were in recruitment mode. Soror Lorraine could not hide her excitement
when she met Soror Lauren, who enjoys graphics!

This endeavor exemplifies the Basileus and Membership Committee’s efforts to welcome, retain and
informally dialogue with our new EGO members in sharing interests, talents and desires in supporting our
chapter and enhancing our beloved sisterhood.
