THE EGO Ivy Informer

Greetings Sorors,
I am still counting my
blessings and realize I can’t seem to
Basileus Corner name them all! As I count my
blessings, my Sorors of Epsilon
Soror Wilma J. Ruffin Gamma Omega Chapter are among
those many blessings for which I am
very thankful. I am thankful for the
wisdom and foresight of our
Founders; young college women who
brought a collection of ideas together
and gave life to an organization that has continued to live and grow for 107 years. An organization
that continues to exist on the legacy of scholarship, sisterhood and service. An organization that also
provides opportunities for the personal growth and development of her members. I am thankful for
my continuous growth and development through Alpha Kappa Alpha, the knowledge gained through
studying and participation, leadership opportunities and the blessing of serving as Basileus of “the
best” chapter.
As you will see in our 6th edition of The EGO Ivy Informer, EPSILON GAMMA OMEGA
is indeed on the move. It is almost one year that you have allowed me to serve as the Basileus of
EGO and I would say we have grown together. You have embraced my vision, accepted my
shortcomings and given of yourselves in so many ways to ensure the perpetuity of our great sisterhood.
I am thankful!
As we embark upon the celebration of the Christmas season, I am reminded of the Reason for
the Season! I am indeed grateful for the birth of Jesus Christ, realizing that he was born in a
