PROGRAM FOCUS

I want to begin this article with a sincere “Thank you” for the vote of confidence given to me
by the membership to serve you for the next two years as your Anti-Basileus/Program Chairman. It
has been my pleasure and joy to serve our great sisterhood in this role. Although it is an awesome
responsibility and task, it gives me a spirit of gratitude to be able to serve our community and to give
back to those less fortunate. My pledge to you in my next term is to seek better ways to improve the
communication regarding program happenings, to seek ways to motivate and increase total
involvement and commitment from the entire membership, to build a stronger partnership between
our undergraduate and graduate programs and to continue broadening our outreach within the greater
Huntsville community we serve.

As we come to a close on the 2015 fiscal year in programs, I want to thank all program chairman,
leads and committee members for your untiring support of our programs! Your support and
commitment has been second to none in your vigilance, persistence, and diligence in getting the job
done. Below are ways you can support the remainder of our program activities for this year.

 In preparation for our upcoming awards and for our end of year reports, please send pictures
of events attended or flyers to my attention at drcrdavis08@gmail.com.

 Don’t forget to support our Think HBCU $2 million dollar AKA 1908 Campaign. Active
Sorors are asked to generate through direct donations or fundraising activities $30 during
the next 10 month period (September 2015 and June 2016).

 Consider giving to our HBCU Campaign online through the National website.
www.aka1908.com. Provide proof of your donation to me at drcrdavis08@gmail.com for
this fiscal year by December 22, 2015 or earlier.

 Complete the “Acts of Green” Survey on behalf of Target IV: Environmental Ownership.
It was in the November 11th EGO Update.

 Support Target III Seasonal Wraps Drive and Christmas Charities Drive.

Sorors, I am looking forward to another successful year of “Launching New Dimensions of Service”
in AKA. Remember, programs are the “HEART BEAT” of the sorority.
