Ideas from our Y12 students shared with the design company
Úvoz Garden
The school garden, which is approximately 3 000 m2 is being redesigned by a company of landscape architects and will facilitate various opportunities for outdoor learning.
The new school site has a large garden area set on the side of a hill. We think this garden has great potential for recreation, relaxation and outdoor learning, so we decided to form a creative team made up of representatives from the school staff and our students to share our ideas with the garden design company.
As our current Year 12 cohort will be the first Y13 cohort to graduate from the new Park Lane IBDP site, we invited creative members of this year group to form a plan- ning team to help with the landscaping of the school’s terraced garden. Ideas from the student volunteers were discussed and passed on to a garden design company before the summer holidays.
