Primary
  Safer Internet Day
February 7th celebrates Safer Internet Day around the world and with that in mind this week the ICT lessons at Park Lane Primary took a break from our ongoing projects and used the time to remind ourselves how to properly and safely use the internet. Pupils competed in an in-school competition where they had to answer a set of questions ranging from online bullying to personal information protection and touched on what should happen when something does go wrong. It is always important to take a step back and spend the 45 minutes reminding ourselves of the basic rules so we can be better prepared when something unexpected happens.
The Spelling Bee
2023
The Spelling Bee 2023 was a great success. Three children in each year group from Year 1 all the way up to Year 6 competed in the final. The standard was very high and at times it was difficult to find a winner. Congratulations to all who took part.
The House Captains Isabel and Zuzka had the following to say “We really enjoyed the spelling bee competition. It was very thrilling. We were really proud of all the spelling bee finalists and winners and hope they enjoyed it as much as we did. We also hope all the finalists will have this much luck in the next competition!!!”

 Superhero Time
On Tuesday 24th January, Y1 took part in a Superhero workshop! They dressed up as their favourite heroes and Mr Kevin from Prague Youth Theatre came to teach us all of the important parts of being
a hero, such as super listening, amazing agility and terrific teamwork. They also created their own shields, masks and mini superheroes! They had a blast!
