Dear Park Lane Community,
On March 14th, we held the Science
Fair at the Valdštenjnská campus, where several Key Stage 3 students voluntarily took part in one of the most challenging, yet rewarding, experiences yet. The participants worked incredibly hard to create their projects, and
their enthusiasm and dedication were unparalleled.
This was no ordinary school event. Not only did the students conduct research and performed experiments for the duration of several weeks, they also culminated their findings onto colorful posters containing detailed diagrams, and well-thought-out explanations. The topics presented reflected a wide range of scientific backgrounds, including, biology, chemistry, physics, computer science, and technological design.
The judges selected to grade the work of the participants, demonstrated that the standard was incredibly high across the
board. It was extremely difficult for the Science Department members to decide on a single winner, so several prizes have been awarded. Aside from that, absolutely all of the students did a fabulous job, and received high praise from their peers and teachers.
Several staff members contributed to
this event, so a very graceful “thank you” is owed to all of the different parties involved. To the participating students, who have gained invaluable experience in independent learning, critical thinking, and presentation and creative skills – this remarkable event happened and was such a great success thanks to YOU.
Congratulations to all of the participating students. They have made the school community proud, and we cannot wait for what they will present to us next year!
