Cheltenham Festival visit
From the 13th–16th October, thirty Park Lane International School students were in the UK to enjoy the 2022 Cheltenham Literature Festival.
We had Harry Potter madness, a theatre trip, an interview panel with three top Young Adult book writers, a presentation by Jarvis Cocker, hilarity with two writers of comedy books for children, music, poetry from a range of passionate spoken word poets and more!
Along with being audience members, we also had the opportunity to meet many of these talented writers up close to ask questions and get selfies. A few students said that they “wished we had lost our passports so we could stay longer.” We all had a great time and came back home with lots of happy memories and lots of books.

Poetry in Autumn
During our Y11 Czech language lesson, the pupils visited the Valdštejnská zahrada and for a while they became poets admiring the beauty of autumn and observing how nature affects them. They tackled this daunting task brilliantly, as you can see below.
