• Approved Library Manual
The Library Operations Manual contains written policies and
procedures covering the library’s internal administration. It is intended to
help answer questions about the library’s personnel, policies, and
practices. This manual was prepared especially for the Isabela State
University Library and was confirmed as per Resolution No. 50, s. 2009.
Minor amendments were done in 2013 & 2016.
• Composition and Functions of the Library Board/Committee
The Campus Library Board Committee is composed of the Deans,
Campus Librarian, and SSC President. As members of the committee,
they are expected to perform the following functions: a) encourage
faculty and students to participate or get involved in any library activities;
b) recommend regularly relevant books and other learning
resources/materials for the library; c) teach and encourage students or
staff to use the library and develop their information skills; d) assist on
the delivery of the curriculum through provision of information,
knowledge, and resources to support student learning; e) assist teachers
in project making, curriculum enrichment, and professional
improvement; and f) assist the librarian in library developments such as
revision of the library manual, library development plan, etc. for the
improvement of library services.
• Approved Library Development Plan
The 5-Year Library Development Plan (2019-2023) was devised and
approved by the Vice-President for Academic and Related Affairs. The
Library Development Plan includes eight (8) areas namely: a)
Administration; b) Library Personnel/Staff; c) Collection Development,
Organization, and Preservation; d) Services and Utilization; e) Physical Set-
Up and Facilities; f) Financial Support; g) Linkages and h) ISO 9001:2015
Standards. This is to address the various needs and demands of the
academic community. Strategic objectives in the different areas were set
in order to attain the goal/s for the improvement of the delivery of library
services.
