Involve the manager or DSM if needed to convince the
customer to purchase the policy. If still unsuccessful, then
the Sales agent will go back to Freshworks and update the
life cycle status to unsold and add a note.
NOTE: If the customer did not want to purchase at this
time, the agent should leave a note in Freshworks with the
carrier and the price that was quoted.
Once the customer agrees to the insurance coverage and
pricing, collect the payment from the customer (cash,
credit card, or money order). Once payment has been
received, bind the policy. The Sales agent can bind
(electronically transmit) the policy on the carrier
website by clicking “bind policy”. This will pop up the
policy application for the customer and agent to sign.
Once the signatures are obtained, then the Sales agent will
go to TurboRater and click bridge, especially for the
carrier sold to the customer. This will transfer information
from TurboRater to Insurance Pro. The Sales agent will
now be able to enter the policy number to create a profile
in Insurance Pro. The Sales agent will post the payment
and create a receipt for the customer in Insurance Pro.
Verify the payment type, premium amount, and the fes
amount matches the carrier website and Insurance Pro.
