Hotels with shuttle serves must also strictly follow CDC and health department guidelines and adhere to the fol- lowing practices:
• In the outdoor shuttle-loading waiting area, guests should be provided with a shoe cleaner and a scraper brush, which they can use before entering the hotel;
• Door matts should be placed around the property;
• Social-distancing must be maintained by limiting passenger capacity to 50%;
• Guests should not sit in the front seat next to the driver;
• After every ride, seats, door handles and doors must be thoroughly sanitized;
• Hand-sanitizers must be available in the shuttle;
• Disinfectant must be used constantly;
• The driver must fog the vehicle;
• The driver must adhere to strict hygienic practices
and wear a mask;
• When handling money (a COVID-19 friendly sur- face), the driver and passengers must use gloves;
• Vehicles are cleaned, sanitized, and fogged.
The above-mentioned changes can and should apply to all hospitality-related industries and professionals serving the public. All of us must look out for each other.
