DEALING WITH EACH OTHER
OFFENSES
Improper conduct or acts of gross discourtesy to a colleague or client. It includes any verbal, visual, physical conduct that is unwelcome or makes another person uncomfortable.
BELOW IS A NON-EXHAUSTIVE LIST OF UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIORS:
• Sexual advances, requests, favors, and unwelcome demands for dates/meetings.
• Mentioning and/or sending jokes, messages, pictures that are rude, disrespectful, and sexually offensive in nature. • Mentioning explicit and degrading comments on gender-related topics like appearance, sexual orientation, etc.
Behavior which suggests a propensity toward violence.
This may include belligerent speech, excessive arguing or swearing, sabotage or threats of sabotage of company property, or a demonstrated pattern of refusing to follow company policies and procedures.
Improper office decorum.
• Unproductive use of company time - Employees are expected to be productive and efficient during work duty. • Improper dress code and misuse of ID (refer to Dress Code policy of Corporate Services and Building Admin) .
Retaliation.
Retaliation is any unfavorable action that a superior takes against an employee because he or she filed a complaint about harassment or discrimination. Unfavorable action can include giving them negative evaluations, disciplining or demoting them, re-assigning them or reducing their pay.
Supervisory/Managerial Abuse.
• Clear abuse of status, power or discretion.
• Failure to prevent and/or report violations of any company rule by any employee.
• Condoning, tolerating or participating in an offense committed by a subordinate.
• Any and all acts which hinder the implementation of Company policy or discredit the Company to its employees.
