tandem HooK Knot



 A knot used for attaching a second hook
 to a line in tandem with the first hook.

 A second hook can be attached higher up on a line before
 attaching a hook to the end of the line. This is especially
 useful in saltwater fishing and allows a large bait fish to
 be attached twice, one hook in the head and the second   Be sure to pull enough line
 near the tail.  This is a simple and secure knot.  through the eye to allow a hook
    to be tied to the end.

 Thread the line through the eye of the hook and   Tie an overhand knot (see page 18) around the   HooK & taCKLe Knots
 loop the line around the shank of the hook.   shank and bring the working end through the
    overhand a second time, forming essentially a
    double overhand around the shank. Tighten.
