u3a Notices
This is another Dashboard item that begins with the letters u3a thus indicating
that the feature is something special for us.
A Notice is something you can put onto one of your pages to draw attention to
something for a limited period of time. We sort of had this in Site Builder but I
don’t think it was widely used. The graphic below demonstrates such a notice on
the Home page. This was the default position with no options to place it
elsewhere.
A Notice could be used on the Home page to remind all members of such things
as a forthcoming social event, a change to a meeting date, or cancellation of an
event due to bad weather. Please note that in SiteWorks only an Admin or an
Editor can create or edit a Notice.
All Notices
When you select u3a Notices on the Dashboard you have a choice to view All
Notices or to Add a New Notice. Let’s view them first.
