On the right-hand menu above there is an option to add an excerpt. This is a
short section of the Notice that describes what it is about to encourage
members or visitors to click on it to find out more.
As I update and view the page the Notice will appear so that I can see it and
check it before moving on. When I now view the site the Notice that I have just
created shows in the Latest News section as shown below.
Clicking on the link takes me to the detail about the Notice as seen in the
following graphic.
That was easy because the training demo site already has a section set up for
Latest Notices but usually you’ll have to do this yourself. Let’s create a duplicate
so that you can see the process. We haven’t used site edit mode for a while so
this can be a refresher.
