Create a Post
Creating a Post is primarily a two-step process where we create the Post
content as the first step and link it to the page where we want it to appear in our
chosen template style in the second step. Part of this is using Categories that
can be created before or during the process and part is related to the
appearance of the Post content. From previous sections you are familiar with
the concepts of these things.
On your Dashboard navigate to Posts and when you click on
the word you will see the screen on the left showing the sub-
menus.
Select All Posts and you will see a list of all the ones you have
on the site. Currently there are four posts on this site as you
can see in the screenshot below. You can see that the
headings are very similar to the Events view with Post Title,
Author, Category, Tag, and Date.
You can see that two Posts are in the computer category, one is in the
photography category and one is new, in draft format, and doesn’t have a
category yet. Perhaps the writer has set this Post up to use it later or perhaps
has been called away and has saved a draft to come back to later.
