THE RESPONSIVE WOMEN’S CREED

Leader: Almighty and Eternal Father God, Thou who has made us in Thy image and breathed into
us Thy breathe of life, we thank Thee for this day and for the assurance it brings of Thy
love and care.

Congregation: We feel Thy presence now, O Lord and give Thee thanks.

Leader: Bless us and refill us with Thy Holy Spirit so that we can continue to follow in Thy
footsteps, for Thou art the Living Way.

Congregation: Help us, O Master to walk in Thy way.

Leader: Forgive our weaknesses and our failures, we pray. Help us to turn from self unto Thee.

Congregation: Grant us True Repentance, O Lord, and teach us how to live with each other and in
the center of Thy will.

Leader: We yield ourselves unto Thee so that we might be used of Thee to win others. May we
truly be “The Light of the World.”

Congregation: Our hearts are open to Thy command.

Leader: Through each day’s plans and choices, grant us vision and courage to follow the path of
truth, justice and mercy.

Congregation: Congregation: May we be pliable in Thy hands, Precious Saviour, Thou art the
Potter, we are the clay.

Leader: Enlighten our minds; we beseech Thee, by the Holy Spirit, in a true understanding of Thy
Word.

Congregation: Thy Word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our pathway.

Leader: In these days of confusion and unrest, let us reaffirm and rededicate our lives to His
service.

Unison: WE, AS CHRISTIAN WOMEN (MEN), DEDICATE OURSELVES AND ALL
THAT WE HAVE TO THEE, O LORD, WE HUMBLY ASK YOU TO GUIDE OUR
HANDS, OUR MINDS, AND OUR ENERGIES TO PERFORM THOSE TASKS
THAT ARE WORTHY OF THY DISCIPLES AND PLEASING TO THEE.

BE THOU OUR CONFIDENCE AND STRENGTH, STIR US THIS DAY,
PRECIOUS MASTER, SO THAT WE MAY GO FORTH AND SERVE THEE
WITHOUT RESERVATIONS.

ALL THAT THOU SAYEST UNTO US, THAT WILL WE DO, THROUGH JESUS
CHRIST OUR LORD.
