Evangelist Beverly Maurene Glenn
Evangelist Beverly Maurene Glenn, native of Detroit, Michigan, is the daughter
of Deacon Robert H. Glenn Sr. and Bonnie Glenn, and the third of seven very
talented children. Raised in The Church of God in Christ, Beverly is a pioneer in
Gospel Music.
Beverly’s four greatest mentors were Fannie Maddox, Dr. Ollie McFarland, Rev.
Columbus Mann and Dr. Mattie Moss Clark (with whom Bev toured as an
organist and was featured at the piano on the gold record, “Salvation Is Free.”)
Having composed 150 Gospel songs, an anthem and a Christmas cantata for
choir and chamber orchestra, Beverly has 10 albums to her credit as well as
recognition in Ebony and Billboard magazines.
Beverly Glenn has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Composition from Pitzer
College, Claremont, California, Master of Arts degree in Church Music from Oral
Roberts University, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Teacher Certification in Vocal Music,
Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan and 12 hours of Education
Administration from Wayne State University--having also done graduate studies
in Education at Georgia State University in Atlanta. She has served as a Clinician
for various choral music workshops--including The M.E.N.C. (Music Educator’s
National Conference).
Her music is played in 33 countries. Beverly’s 10 Gospel albums
include: “Coming Again So Soon, “Just Believe,” “Find Yourself,”
“He’s The One,” “This Is Beverly Glenn, “ “Live in Philadelphia,”
“Blessed Assurance,” “Take Me Higher,” “There Is Hope,” and
live in Detroit, “Hide Yourself In Jesus.”
Beverly is currently preparing to record album number 11 and
also has consecrated before the Lord in preparation to again
travel nationally in Evangelism and Music Ministry.
