                                               • A filmmaker whose passion is to tell underrepresented global stories
                                               through the medium of film, to entertain, inspire and incubate crea ve and
                                               cri cal thinking, and to ins ll pride of the Filipino heritage.
                                               • Co‐Founder and Execu ve Director, San Diego Filipino Film Cinema, to de‐
                                               velop and nurture global Filipino filmmakers and showcase their work to the
                                               diverse audience in San Diego.
                                               • Past Films: The Gi  of Barong: a Journey from Within;  HARANA: the
                                               Search for the Lost Art of Serenade; BOUNDARY; The Interpreter; and A is
                                               for Agus n.
                                               • The Gi  of Barong & HARANA were screened and awarded at Busan Inter‐
                                               na onal Film Fes val, Sea le Interna onal Film Fes val, Santa Barbara In‐
                                               terna onal Film Fes val, Hawaii Interna onal Film Fes val, San Diego Asian
                                               Film Fes val and CAAMFest.  Current work: The Road to Sydney
                                               • Best Film Award for BOUNDARY from NETPAC (Network for the Promo on
             of Asian Cinema) Cinemalaya, Manila; and the Harvest of Honors Award from the Na onal Commission for Culture
             & the Arts, Philippines.

            Provided private prac ce of vascular surgery in Washington DC from
             1998 to 2018.
            Adjunct Associate Professor of Surgery, 2000‐Present; Associate Profes‐
             sor of Surgery, 1988‐2000, Uniformed Services University of the Health
             Sciences, Bethesda, Maryland.
            Colonel, Medical Corps (Ret); Surgeon, US Army Medical Corps, 1972‐’92
            Provided leadership role as President of the UPMASA Bal more & Wash‐
             ington Chapter, 2005‐2007; Chair, UPMASA Board of Governors, 2009‐
             2011, and President, UPMASA, 2013‐2015.
           Championed the development of another Health Sciences Center in  Dili‐
             man which is now a reality with the blueprints of another PGH and UP
             medical campus in UP Diliman.
           Led the UPMASA Ad Hoc Commi ee on raising funds for the construc on
             of the Medical Sciences Building (the former BSLR).
           Earned his MD degree from UP in 1972 , BS Pre‐Med from UP Diliman in
             1967.
