• Nurse clinician and urology minor surgery RN, office prac ce manager,
Calvert Urology, Prince Frederick, Maryland, 1978‐2014
• Par cipated in 14 medical‐surgical missions in the Philippines and
served in these missions in various roles: as opera ng room nurse, as su‐
pervisor, as circula ng nurse or as a surgical assistant in minor proce‐
dures and as manager.
Volunteered in many Filipino American medical organiza ons and their
auxiliary counterparts and performed various func ons: event coordina‐
tor, program director, emcee, souvenir journal & newsle er editor, deco‐
rator, silent auc on chair, & hotel nego ator.
Received numerous awards including the “100 Top Women of Influence
in USA” from the Filipina Women’s Network (FWN), 2009; the “Ang Man‐
gagamot Award” from the Philippine Medical Associa on of Washington DC, 2018; and the “Altera Pieto Award
for Leadership in Community Service” from the Delta Lambda Sigma Sorority in 2021.
• Earned her RN degree from UP‐PGH School of Nursing in 1968 and her BS in Nursing degree in 1969 from UP
College of Nursing.

• Provided solo, a ending and consul ng Adult and Pediatric Urology prac‐
ce in several area hospitals in Maryland from 1978 to 2014.
• Conducted free prostate cancer screening exam twice a week in March
during its Awareness Week for 15 years in two Calvert Memorial Hospital‐
sponsored Urgent Care clinics; provided free prostate surgery for charity
pa ents referred by the Archdiocese of Washington for 5 years.
• Par cipated in 12 medical and surgical missions in the Philippines through
UPMASA and other Philippine medical professional groups.
• Provided leadership role as President of UPMASA Bal more & Washing‐
ton Chapter, Calvert County Medical Society, and as Execu ve Director
and Chair of the Board, Philippine Medical Founda on; and as Chair, UP‐
MASA Board of Governors.
• Gave CME lectures in the U.S. & Philippines on various urologic topics in‐
cluding Erec le Dysfunc on, Benign Prosta c Hypertrophy, Prostate Can‐
cer, Bladder Cancer, Penile Cancer & Stress Urinary Incon nence.
• Earned his MD from UP in 1971 and AB from Ateneo de Manila in 1966.
