with unauthorised access to mdgroup and/or any confidential information;
and
b) refrain from recording any confidential information regarding mdgroup on
any social networking website.
12. Lone or Remote Working Policy
‘Lone’ or ‘remote’ working is when an individual is working at a location that
is not an mdgroup office (Remote) and/or working outside of mdgroup core
business hours 08:30AM – 5:00 PM (Lone). Please read the following if you are
considered a Lone or Remote worker.
As these episodes of lone or remote working are limited, please note that there
will be no full time First Aider or Appointed person available.
A lone or remote worker should ensure the following:
a) Awareness of the location of the First Aid Kit – if your work includes travel,
please speak to Office Management to be provided with a small first aid kit.
b) Access to a landline or mobile phone (fully charged).
c) Awareness of the emergency services contact details and how to contact
them e.g. do you need to dial any special number to obtain an outside line
first.
d) Full knowledge of Fire Evacuation procedures and route.
e) Where possible, avoid working late into the evening in the office as the
building does not have 24 hour staffed security. The building facilities
manager usually finishes work at 5:30 pm.
f) If working late, it is recommended that your car is moved to parking space
close to the reception door before it gets dark.
g) If you are working in the building outside of the hours of 8:00AM to 5:30 pm
(the core hours of the buildings facilities manager), you must notify your
Line Manager. Please note that your Line Manager may restrict the time you
are spending in the office outside of the above stated time, and suggest an
alternative solution.
h) If you are the only person in the office, the doors should be locked. And if
you need to go to the toilets, you should ensure the door is locked securely
behind you and re- enter using your key/access fob.
i) Should you be working onsite at a meeting, client’s office etc., please
familiarise yourself with their fire evacuation procedures and if you do need
medical attention contact the hotel/client office’s reception.
