to cover up wrongdoing is itself a disciplinary offence. If told not to raise
or pursue any concern, even by a person in authority such as a manager,
employees and associated persons should not agree to remain silent. They
should report the matter to the COO or Compliance Officer.
Action by mdgroup
mdgroup will fully investigate any instances of alleged or suspected bribery.
Employees suspected of bribery may be suspended from their duties while the
investigation is being carried out. mdgroup will usually invoke its disciplinary
procedures where an employee is suspected of bribery, and such allegations
may result in a finding of gross misconduct and immediate dismissal where it
is reasonably held that those allegations are likely to be true. mdgroup may
terminate the contracts of any associated persons, including consultants or
other workers who act for, or on behalf of, mdgroup who are found to have
breached this policy.
mdgroup may also report any matter to the relevant authorities, including the
Director of Public Prosecutions, Serious Fraud Office, Revenue and Customs
Prosecutions Office and the police. mdgroup will provide all necessary
assistance to the relevant authorities in any subsequent prosecution.
Review of Procedures
Employees and those working for, or on behalf of, mdgroup are encouraged to
contact the Compliance Officer with any suggestions, comments or feedback
that they may have on how these procedures may be improved.
15. Expenses Policy
This policy covers four areas pertinent to expenses incurred by mdgroup’
personnel:
a) Project Related
b) Client Visits
c) mdgroup Office Visits
d) Employee Reimbursements
Non-compliance with terms of this policy may result in your expenses not
being refunded to you and a serious or continuous breach of the policy may
lead to disciplinary action, including termination.
Project Related Expenses
mdgroup’ allowance for reasonable expenses per person, per day, while
