2022 Agency Goals
Mobile Driver’s Licenses (mDL) DDS has
joined with Apple Inc. to offer mobile
driver licenses (mDL) and ID cards to
Georgians using the iPhone’s Apple Wal-
let. The pilot program, is in conjunction
with the Transportation Safety Admin-
istration. (TSA), will allow customers to
use their mDL at select airports similar
to accessing a flight boarding pass
stored on traveler’s cellphones. Custom-
ers will have the option to request a free
mDL in addition to their hard/physical
card which customers should continue
to carry. As the pilot continues, plans
include android options as well. Facility Improvements
DDS will continue to improve the physical environment for our
team members and customers. Projects include:

Hazelhurst: A brand new full service customer service center will
be added in Jeff Davis County. This includes a CDL testng pad

Chatbot/Virtual Assistant DDS looks to tech-
nology to improve customer service. A project
team is working with Microsoft to develop a way
for contact center callers to be served without
waiting for an agent. The DDS contact center
handles 600,000 calls annually. The chatbot/
virtual assistant has the potential to help thou-
sands of customers each month even during
non-working hours.
