Women of DDS Leadership Mentor

The women of our leadership team were invited on March 27th to Auburn
University to speak to approximately 80 students participating in the
University’s Master of Public Administration Program. Since March was Women
in History Month, it was fitting that they were asked to speak about their
contributions to state government.
Angelique McClendon, Director of Legal Services; Deborah Moore, Director of
Human Resources, Kecia Bivins, Director of Field Operations and Shevondah
Leslie, Director of Governmental Affairs and Communications, served as guest
speakers on the “Public Service Speaker Panel: Careers in State Government.”
The group discussed being women in state government, how they got into
public service, tips on getting a foot in the door, and general questions and
answers. They were also able to educate a Georgia native about using the DDS
2 GO app to update her driver’s license.
