Giving Back

While DDS is committed to improving customer service to the motoring public, we also believe in the power of contributing
to the community. Below is a small sample of the types of philanthropy in which DDS team members participate:

• State Charitable Contribution Program (SCCP) October 2016
DDS team members proved once again that they give back to the community. Employees donated via electronic
payroll deduction, a onetime payment donation and/or by participating in many agency events such as bake sales, a
chili cook off and many sponsored team building activities. We had a record number of participants with 713 DDS
team members completing a pledge with the average pledge being approximately $30.00. For the fourth year in a
row, DDS won the Governor’s Cup Award for Agency’s with 500 – 1,000 employees.

• Mobile Emergency Licensing
DDS traveled to Adel, Cook County, to assist Hurricane Matthew Storm victims who needed replacement licenses
and/or IDs. Customers who had been previously issued a Georgia driver’s license and/or Identification Card were
issued a temporary replacement (the hardcopy will arrive in the mail). Emergency license and ID Issuing procedures
were also underway at all existing DDS locations in the storm damage area including those in Albany, Tifton and
    Valdosta.

• Veteran’s Mobile Issuance
DDS traveled twice to the Cobb County Veterans/Military Support Center to provide mobile driver’s license and ID
card issuance for Georgia’s veterans and their families.

• We C.A.R.E. Christmas 2016
Team members were able to help our own DDS family by providing coats for children in need. Requests were
confidentially submitted through Human Resources for collection and distribution.

• Conservation
DDS continues to support our state’s fuel conservation and clean air initiatives by offering alternative scheduling for
team members. This includes Telework, Alternate Work Schedule, Compressed Work Schedule and Flex Schedules.
