DDS Celebrates Team Member Achievement!

                            Commissioner Spencer R. Moore

In 2012, I joined DDS as Deputy Commissioner. Although I previously worked
at the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) and partnered with the
DDS Team on many initiatives, there was a great deal to learn. I listened and
learned everything that I could. Above all else, I was a member of a great
team that focused on the mission and values of the Agency. Five years later, I
was honored to be appointed Commissioner. I wanted to dedicate this issue
of the Scoop to all those who have excelled in their roles and always strive to
do more. This special issue features many of our Team members, but
certainly not all of them, that have advanced from their original position to a
higher level with more responsibility. I am genuinely proud of all of you and
encourage you to strive to do more every day.

 Congratulations

                             Cindy Boyd

Cindy joined DDS in 2006 as a Secretary 3, Office Manager, and is now
currently the Manager of Central Issuance. She enjoys sewing,
antiquing and naps. In High School, she won first place in a statewide
biscuit making competition. (Cindy adds that she hasn’t made one in
years). She lives by what her Mother told her: “to have a positive
                                       outlook no matter the situation.”

Marcia Brooks

In 2004, Marcia began as a Legal Assistant. She has received several
promotions including Business Analyst, Central Issuance Manager and
Business Standards IT Business Analyst. She is now an IT Manager, BPA Unit.
She had six wisdom teeth, two on top and four on the bottom, all removed at
the same time. She enjoys walking, genealogy, taking care of donkeys and
cooking. The funniest thing that happened at work was being called a
“hippie” by Investigator Lance Taylor.
