Apple + DDS = mDL (Mobile DL)
There is some exciting news at DDS! DDS has been selected to
participate in a pilot mobile drivers license (mDL) program with
Apple!
The Pilot Program, in conjunction with the Transportation Safety
Administration (TSA), will allow customers to use their mDL at
select airports similar to accessing a flight boarding pass stored on
a traveler’s cellphones.

This Pilot will demonstrate the privacy and security of the mobile
option while highlighting the convenience and safety of mobile
identification.
For the time being, Georgia’s mDL will be a companion to the
hard/physical card which should still be carried by the individual.
In the future, it is hoped that additional businesses and industries
will accept mDL. It will also be expanded to Android devices as
well.
