2021 IDEC Examiner of the Year!

Once again the 2021 International Driver Examiner Certification (IDEC) Ceremony was a virtual event but did not
scrimp on content or excitement! Congratulations to all the nominees. It is truely an honor to be nominated to be
the best customer service champion of the year for DDS!

Annually, the IDEC Board and AAMVA recognizes outstanding examiners through the IDEC Examiner of the Year
award. Each member jurisdiction nominates one examiner for outstanding performance as a driver's license exam-
iner. Examiners are selected for their excellence in adhering to the principles and recommended practices of driver
examining (the Examiner's Code of Ethics) and for their high level of conduct in their profession.

The DDS IDEC Examiner of the Year is Michael Thompson -- the Manager of the Dallas CSC!

Below are comments from District Manager J.C. Reynoso:
Since 2017, Mike has been a perfect example of an employee you love to work with. I am very grateful that Mike is
a Leader working in District 2. He is loved and respected by all his peers and the employees that work under him.
Mike is a kind soul that loves to interact with customers and Team Members. Mike is the representation of “One
Team, One Mission”. He is the first one to volunteer to help other centers in need. He assists by sending Team Mem-
bers from Dallas to job-share to other centers or for himself to help other centers when we are in needed of Manag-
ers.

Mike’s dedication to his center, the district and the agency are paramount. Mike has a contagious can-do positive
attitude and energy that inspires others. His Team at Dallas goes the extra mile to support him. Mike Customer
Service is Second to None, he loves to work the lobby to interact with as many customers as he can. He greets every
customer and assists them to get ready to be issued. He talks to the customers taking a test and gives them posi-
tive vibes before taking a test. Also, Mike is competitive and takes his job responsibility seriously. The Dallas CSC has
great performance and receives many compliments from our customers.
