I learned Ceramic design
as a profession in Germany,
and have been practicing and
teaching pottery for 38 years
in Botswana.

I eventually specialized in
Raku pottery, an ancient
technique that allows fire and
smoke to enter into the
crackling glaze and temper
each vessel in organic materials
from Mother Earth.

I compliment this look with
traditional local patterns and
images of our precious wildlife.

We also use specific earthy
glazes, harbouring a multitude
of shades within itself.
There are no harsh, flat or
extremely glossy looks in
Nature.
