FINANCIAL UPDATE
The increase in fees for the upcoming year has been agreed by the Board at 7.5% for both residential properties and businesses on the Estate. This is significantly below the prevailing rate of inflation, which at March 2023 was standing at 10.1%. This was made possible because the Board has had significant success in collecting outstanding debts from the very small minority of residents who do not pay their Estate fees on time. Our focus will continue on this in the current financial year.
We have also sought to minimise our costs by streamlining and automating our financial administration as much as possible. This year all Estate fee invoices were produced automatically and over 60% were sent out by email, thereby reducing administration and postage costs.
