P. 5

We have conducted an extensive exercise to verify all residents’ details, and we now have email addresses for 84% of all properties on the Estate.
If you think we might not have your email address, please send an email to aosera@arunoffice.co.uk letting us know your home address and we will update our records accordingly. This will help to keep our administration costs to a minimum.
Although there were a small number of instances where
spam/junk filters got in the way and disposed of our
communications before they had been seen or read, the
feedback we received from residents in respect of using
email instead of post, was very positive. You can ensure
you receive all email communications from AOSERA by adding the domain aosera.co.uk to your safe senders list. If you need help to do this, please email aosera@arunoffice.co.uk and we will try to assist.
Another innovation this year was the introduction of a pay-by-card facility. Although our preferred method of payment remains as being transfer by internet banking (as this avoids us having to pay additional merchant charges), nevertheless over 100 residents used our new facility.
Although the Accounts for 2022/23 have not yet been finalised, they are expected to show a small deficit for the year. This is a very pleasing result, particularly considering the drainage issues encountered on the Estate during the year; not least the flooding caused by the atrocious weather conditions before and after Christmas. Extensive work has been undertaken by the Board and its subcontractors, which are detailed elsewhere in this newsletter.
Work continues to look at the medium and long-term funding of the Estate’s roads. Whilst it is hoped that this can be contained within our existing budget, it will depend to a large extent upon how long we can postpone needing to resurface our busiest roads.
