For the uninitiated, those gaping holes under the front bumper are not merely decorative but are actually functional, unlike the hood scoops on the ’68 Chevelle I drove in high school. OK, it was a Nomad station wagon and it didn’t have hood scoops. But it would have if my folks understood what “cool” was back in the mid-‘70s. But, if it DID have hood scoops, they would not have been functional.
